Hot and Cold Cocoa

Make hot or frozen cocoa to enjoy in hot or cold weather.

What You Need

  • 6 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa
  • 2 ½ cups light cream
  • 2 ½ cups milk
  • Pinch of salt
  • 6 tablespoons sugar
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla

What You Do

  1. Combine Dry Ingredients
    Combine the cocoa, sugar and salt.
  2. Stir In Milk and Heat
    Stir in milk and heat until the ingredients are all dissolved.
  3. Add Remaining Ingredients
    Add cream, cinnamon and vanilla. Mix well.
  4. For Hot Cocoa
    Heat until warm. Do not boil. Pour into your child’s favorite cup and make sure it is cool enough for him/her to sip.Hot cocoa
  5. For Frozen Cocoa
    Pour hot chocolate into a sealable container.
    Freeze for about 5 hours. You may freeze the mixture and scoop it out like ice cream or place it into individual popsicle containers or an ice cube tray.
