Do you have a favorite place to be outside? Make a map and show the way to your favorite outdoor spot. Then, see if your friends and family can follow your map and find your special outdoor place!
What You Need
- any kind of paper or cardboard
- pencils, markers, or crayons
- tape measure (optional)
What You Do
-
Choose your favorite outdoor place. It could be in your yard, neighborhood, or local park.
-
On any size piece of paper, draw a path to follow to get to your special place.
-
Add landmarks to your map to help show the way, such as an unusual tree, a big rock, a road, or anything else that will tell someone he or she is on the right path.
-
If you want, use a compass to add directions (north, south, east, west), and a tape measure to add distances to your map.
