
Why are baby wood ducks fun? They BOUNCE!
What You Need
- Wood duck pattern
- Tennis ball
- Large brown pom-pom
- Brown felt
- Blue and brown fun foam
- 2 googly eyes
- Craft glue
- Black marker
What You Do
- Download and Print the Pattern
Download and print the wood duck pattern. - Color Tennis Ball
Color the tennis ball with the marker so that just some of the yellow shows through. - Cut Out Wings and Beak
Use the pattern to cut the wings out of felt. Cut the beak out of brown fun foam. - Assemble Wood Duck
Glue the pom-pom onto the tennis ball to make the duckling’s head. Glue the googly eyes and the beak onto the head. Then glue the wings onto the tennis ball. Let dry. - Make Pond
Cut a “pond” shape out of the blue fun foam. Use the black marker to draw a star in the middle of the pond and an inner ring a couple of inches from the edge. - Play the Game
How to play:- Drop your woo duck into the pond.
- Score 5 points for hitting the star; 2 points for landing within the inner circle; and 1 point for hitting the outer edge of the pond.
- The person with the most points after five “jumps” wins.
