Hard Head and Weird Teeth!

By

Skull

Pachycephalosaur skulls could be ten inches thick! Some were domed, and some were more flat.

Beak

A short beak was handy for snatching up food.

Teeth

Small, ridged teeth were just right for cutting leaves, seeds, and fruit. Pointier teeth in the front may have been used to snatch up small animals.

Knobs and Spikes

Most pachycephalosaurs had a “crown” of bony knobs and spikes.

Tail

Pachycephalosaurus could likely lean back and rest on its long, thick tail, just as kangaroos do today.
