🐘 An elephant’s ear can be as big as a tablecloth.

🐘 An elephant can weigh more than 10,000 pounds. That’s about the same weight as three cars.

🐘 An elephant can be 13 feet tall. That’s taller than a basketball hoop.

🐘 Elephants use their trunks to do lots of things—get a drink, feed themselves, and even say, “Hello!”

🐘 Elephants eat grasses, leaves, and other plants. One elephant can eat 300 pounds of food in a day.

🐘 An elephant doesn’t have any bones in its trunk.

🐘 On hot days, elephants flap their big ears to cool down.

🐘  Elephants live in groups called herds. A herd is made up of mothers and their babies. All the adult elephants in a herd help take care of the young.
