Make a colony of butterflies to decorate the pencils on your desk!

What You Need

• Plastic foam egg carton or meat tray, thoroughly washed
• Glitter
• Glue
• Paint
• Pipe cleaners
• Scissors

What You Do

1. Cut Out Butterfly Shape
   Carefully cut out a butterfly shape from the plastic foam.
2. Decorate Butterfly
   Have your child decorate the butterfly with paint and/or glitter. Let it dry completely.
3. Attach Butterfly to Pencil
   Wrap a pipe cleaner along the butterfly’s body. Twist the ends together until the butterfly is secure. Twist the stem around a pen or pencil.
