Build a small town or a big city of mud and other fun things you can find in your backyard.
What You Need
- Leaves
- Mud or potting soil
- Rocks
- Sticks
- Waterproof toys, such as plastic animals
- Water
What You Do
- Go outside and find some nice soft mud.
If you don’t have mud or dirt handy, you can always make some yourself. Get some potting soil and just add water. - Look around for some sticks or rocks.
You can use the sticks and rocks to create a frame or foundation for your buildings or houses. After you get an idea of what you want the structure to look like, add the mud and start building them up. You can use leaves as windows, too, if you want! - Get a little crafty!
If you really want to use your imagination to the extreme, dig a mote, or a river around your town. Or, you could build a fort to protect the animals and townspeople from enemy villages. Just add water wherever you think it’s needed!
