Feed the Frog

Turn a toilet-paper tube into a hungry frog!

What You Need

  • “Feed the Frog” pattern
  • toilet-paper tube
  • sheet of light cardboard (Paper plates or file folders work well.)
  • craft paints
  • piece of red yarn–24″
  • markers, glue, and stapler

What You Do

  1. Cut out the shapes.
    Use the pattern to cut the frog’s legs and the fly out of the cardboard.
  2. Staple the body.
    Staple one end of the toilet-paper tube together.
  3. Paint the frog.
    Paint the frog’s body and legs, as shown. Set aside to dry.
  4. Color the fly.
    Color the fly with markers.
  5. Glue the legs.
    Glue the frog’s legs onto the bottom of the frog’s body.
  6. Thread the yarn.
    Thread the yarn through the frog’s body. Glue the fly onto one end of the yarn.
    As you pull the yarn, say, “I’m so hungry. I’m going to eat a great, big, juicy fly!”feed frog
