Go on a leaf hike to collect the materials for this squeaky fall craft.
What You Need
- Glue
- Autumn leaves
- Markers
- Paper
- Wax paper
What You Do
- Collect Leaves
Head out on a leaf hunt with friends or family to gather beautiful autumn leaves in different shapes, sizes and colors. Put the leaves between two sheets of wax paper, and press in a heavy book until flat. (If you can’t find oval leaves, cut the ones you do find into ovals.) - Glue Leaves
On a blank sheet of paper, arrange the colorful leaves into fun mice characters. Glue the leaves to the paper. Let dry. - Draw extras
Use markers or bits of construction paper to make eyes and a mouth.
If you’d like to add extra excitement to your project, use markers or crayons to draw a fun scene around your mouse, such as a forest or lake scene.
How many different looking mice can you make with your pile of fall leaves?
