These tasty raisin biscuits look like real moon rocks!
What You Need
- Greased baking sheet
- 6 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened
- ¼ teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
- 1 egg
- 1 cup self-rising flour
- ¼ cup dry oatmeal
- ¼ cup raisins
- 6 tablespoons sugar
What You Do
- Preheat Oven to 400°F
- Mix Dry Ingredients
Mix the flour, oatmeal, sugar, and cinnamon together with fork in a large bowl until well blended. - Add Butter and Egg
Add 6 tablespoons of softened butter and one beaten egg to the dry mixture and blend with fork until the batter has a sticky consistency. - Add Raisins
Add the raisins to the batter and mix together with fork. - Bake Biscuits
Take small handfuls of batter and form them into balls, each about the size of a golf ball, and place onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake approximately 15 minutes. Let cool for 5-10 minutes. Makes 8–12 biscuits.
