This fun craft shows how frogs and toads transform from tadpoles to adults.

What You Need

• Felt
• Glue
• 2 googly eyes
• Transforming Toad pattern
• Scissors
• Self-sticking hook and loop fasteners (Velcro)

What You Do

1. Download and Cut Out Pattern
   Download the Transforming Toad pattern. Cut out the body, tail, and front and back legs from felt using the pattern.

   

2. Add Velcro and Googly Eyes
   You will need to use only the hooked side of the hook and loop fasteners, as they will hold nicely to the felt and still be easy to remove. Stick one piece to the underside of each leg and to the base of the tail. Glue wiggle eyes to the head as shown. Let dry.
3. Make Tadpole
   Stick the tail to the body first to make a tadpole.

   

4. Add Legs
   Add hind legs, and then front legs to show how the tadpole grows legs as it changes. Finally remove the tail to show the adult toad.
