Make Autumn Applesauce

This classic recipe for homemade applesauce will make your kitchen smell like fall!

What You Need

  • 5-6 apples
  • cinnamon
  • sugar
  • 3/4 cup water

What You Do

  • STEP 1:

    Prepare the Apples
Wash and peel apples. Remove the core and cut the apples into small pieces about the size of an ice sauce 2

  • STEP 2:

    Cook Apples in Saucepan
Put the apple pieces and water in a medium saucepan. Cover and simmer apples over medium heat until tender (about 20 – 30 minutes). Stir about every 10 minutes. Remove from heat and let the apples cool for a little sauce 3

  • STEP 3:

    Mash Apples
For extra-smooth applesauce, mash the apples with a potato masher. Stir in cinnamon and sugar to taste. (For every teaspoon of cinnamon, about 1 tablespoon of sugar is needed.)

  • STEP 4:

Enjoy your applesauce on top of apple pancakes, or by sauce 4
