Recycle jar lids to make a school of fish.
What You Need
- jar lids
- googly eyes
- craft glue
- construction paper
- scissors
- string
- markers or paint
- tape
- beads, stickers, sequins, plastic gems (optional)
What You Do
- Collect and clean jar lids
- Trace around the jar lid on a piece of construction paper to draw the fish body.
- Cut out the fish body.
- Cut out basic shapes to make the fish’s tail, fins, and mouth.
- Decorate the fish. You can use cut paper, markers, paint, googly eyes, and even stickers, beads, or gems to decorate the fish.
- Glue the fish’s fins, tail and mouth to the body.
- Tape a string to the inside of the jar lid.
- Glue the fish onto the top of the jar lid.
- When it’s dry, use the string to hang your fish in a window.
