Recycle jar lids to make a school of fish.

 

What You Need

• jar lids
• googly eyes
• craft glue
• construction paper
• scissors
• string
• markers or paint
• tape
• beads, stickers, sequins, plastic gems (optional)

What You Do

1. Collect and clean jar lids
2. Trace around the jar lid on a piece of construction paper to draw the fish body.
3. Cut out the fish body.
4. Cut out basic shapes to make the fish’s tail, fins, and mouth.
5. Decorate the fish. You can use cut paper, markers, paint, googly eyes, and even stickers, beads, or gems to decorate the fish.
6. Glue the fish’s fins, tail and mouth to the body.
7. Tape a string to the inside of the jar lid.
8. Glue the fish onto the top of the jar lid.
9. When it’s dry, use the string to hang your fish in a window.
