Fin-tastic Valentine Cards

Turn paper hearts into fishy valentines!

What You Need

  • colorful construction paper
  • cardstock (optional)
  • craft glue
  • scissors
  • marker, pen, or pencil
  • googly eye

What You Do

  1. Fold a sheet of construction paper or cardstock in half to create the card.
  2. Cut out two large heart shapes from construction paper for the fish’s head and tail. Glue in place on the card, as shown.
  3. Cut out approximately 12 smaller colorful hearts for the fish scales. Glue them onto the card, overlapping each one, as shown.
  4. Glue on the googly eye.
  5. Cut out several small red and pink hearts for the fish mouth and bubbles, then glue in place.
  6. Write a fishy message on your card. Create your own, or you can use one of these suggestions:
Swimming by to say Happy Valentine’s Day!
    Have a fin-tastic Valentine’s Day!
    You’re o-FISH-ally awesome!
I can “SEA” you’re a great friend, Valentine!
